What if the cigarette is part of the perfomance?
I asked for the keys of the room K29 at my teacher of the time, Margriet Kruyver, and
enclosed the class for 2 minutes. Although this action was meant to last for 5 minutes, it finally stopped when Margriet Kruyver started panicking and tumbling at the door.
The K29 is situated in the basement of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, and mobile phones do not have access to any network.
